View Full Version : Fat gain vs Muscle Gain

Say you gained 2lb a week .. how much of it is fat? i heard that about 1/3 but how much do u estimate?..
i'm gana try going up to 170lb by middle july (july 15th) and start "SERIOUS" cutting, which was really hard due to my school ****s.. rite now i'm 148 with 13% bf.. i wana get up to 170~180lb with 15~16% bf .. is that possible in 2 and half month?

from my calculation, i need to gain 20lb pure muscle to get up there.... i dont think dat's.. possible.. hm.. maybe.. just maybe..
Actually, i gained 35lb in 6 month with 2% increase in BF.. which was from 115 to now.. which means i gained about 25~30lb of muscle in 6 months... hm.....

Hmmmm....20 lb muscle in 2 months......

Maybe you should set that for your year goal....

20lbs of muscle in 2 months is impossible.

20lbs of weight is easy.

Cackerot what happened when you gained all that weight (up to 170lbs). I know you didn't do it really fast but i'd say it was quite fast. Was a lot of it fat and how much more bodyfat do you have now than then. I'm 160lbs and wondering if their is any point in trying to bulk up hardcore up to 200lbs. Would i just look like staypuff the marshmello man?

Darcy I think its how fast you do it. If you bulk and gain 3-4 lbs / week and go from 160 to 200 then obviously a lot of it will be fat. But if you bulk and gain only 1-2 lbs / week for a good 30 weeks and get to 200 then chances are you won't look as bad and will have gained much more lbm.

i went from 115 at 13%, to 150 at 15%, in 6 months.

then i cut for 2 months, down to 138lbs at 10%.

so, i started bulking again.

went from 138lbs at 10% to 170lbs at 14%, in 4 months. which is where i currently stand.

i say go for it.
