What to do about missed day?

well i was sick on friday and missed my squat day. and sunday is my bench day. i am feeling better and am going tomorrow but dont know if i should just move all my workouts back one, or just skip squats this week and move on with bench and continue on with my normal routine. i usually do squats on friday because it gives me the weekend to recover. i do a labor job and being sore can put a damper on productivity for the day. what would you do in this situation?
    thanks

Normally I would tell someone never to skip squats. But since you're doing manual labour it's really up to you. I know I had trouble going to the gym when working construction.

there are a few options, but in the end it's going to come back down to personal choice

you could obviously do squats after benching, either as heavy as you can go after chest or just some light work so you can say you hit your quads for the week

    you could skip

you could do 2 a days and do either bench or squats in the morning and then 6 hours later do the other...and eat a ton

personally I would just do a few sets of squats after your bench workout, even if it's not heavy it's better to hit quads than totally skip

I went to the gym 4 times a week while working a FT Labor job. I found while I was working, i was so focused, the DOMS in my body was almost nonexistant.

If it was me, id skip squats, only because my upper body is more important to me than lower body. But if you are TRAINING. Then id do squats.

I work a labor job too, and some days I just have to take off as well, from soreness. Though, sometimes I'll just work through it, and I'll end up feeling better by the end of the work out.

Enjoy the rest you gave your body. I think missing a day poses more of a mental struggle than anything.
