    700lb Bench *Video*

Here's video from Saturday when I benched 700lbs. To be honest, watching the video, I still think I need to touch lower and push my belly up a little higher so I'll see what Vin has to say. Other than that I was pretty happy with the lift

    solid press....

and actually if I remember correctly you wore a Double Phenom? if so, you do not need to touch lower, the phenom does not have that groove, touching lower is only to groove tight shirts correctly in order to touch effectively. That isn't needed for a Phenom because you do not need to run away from the chest plate, you need to bring it right down that chest plate to maximize the stretch.

You also need to upgrade that shirt to the SUPER phenom.

Great job. For those that weren't there, the 700 bench was very "hard" compared to his first two attempts. If you hit the groove you had on your first two, I'm sure you're good for more than 700 next time.

Looked perfect. Great position on the weight and a great push. Slowed a little at the top, but was never a question. Just keep up the hard work and those numbers will keep jumping. I'm really happy for you. I'll be watching you smash lifts for a long time from my rocking chair.

Hey David, not to hijack Travis's thread, but congratulations on the big bench. You looked like you had 800 in you.

Chris took that video for me. I'm sure there will be a meet video, they had that one camera running all day in front of the mono and bench.

for all those who weren't there, Dave put my bench to shame by smashing a 780lb bench!

Thanks alot Vin! I really appreciate that! LOL yeah the weight came off my chest a little faster than I anticipated it do and ended a little farther over my face haha. Never again will I underestimate that shirt!

WOAH clean lift man, that was real smooth. Do you use that wide of a grip while benching raw too, or is that just to get more out of your shirt?
