the unthinkable happened on 2001 9/11, lets give a moment of silence and honor those who perished, and those who fought to make sure it never happened again.
Also lets be greatfull for the 7 years of no attacks on US soil. Thanks to GW Bush and the troops
let us not forget or dishonor their memories.

If you've forgotten what you felt that day, watch these two videos. It'll quickly remind you.

I don't need to see any of the videos...ever. I agree with keeping the politics out of it. I will take a moment of silence for our heroes and I'll make sure a few of my friends do as well. God bless everybody and have a great day.

May the fallen heroes of that day Rest in Peace. May the brave heroes who took part in the valiant relief effort be blessed for eternity. May the guilty be punished in eternal damnation.

We must never forget that day. God Bless America and all it's citizens.

I'm not calling you out, but I don't think we should ever forget. I think a lot of people have let what happened that day fade out of memory. Somebody on another board said it best. "At some point in the future something like this will happen again. We don't know when and we don't know where, but it will happen again." Never forget. Never forgive.

This is exactly the reason why you should watch the videos that Pegg posted.

I could see you confusing Chubrock with a girl. <3

And on the topic... lost three blood relatives. I still remember leaving school (they didn't allow us to leave and I had to struggle with a security guard) to make the calls, as I didn't have a cell phone. None of them answered, no reassuring calls... just confusion and uncertainty for a couple of days.

I had to turn off the news this morning. I was getting choked up. I was lucky to lose no one close to me. My brother was in the AXP building next to the towers. While we awaited word he was fine was the worst hours of my life. My thoughts and prayers go out to families who lost loved ones.

I've watched probably a dozen tributes. I have no blood ties and only a one or two friends in New York. I'm not ashamed to say that everyone of those tributes choked me up.

We had a moment of silence at school up here in Canada. The loss in America has been felt all over the world.

No shortage of romantics here. Definitely the most dramatic attack the world has ever seen (except for maybe Hiroshima/Nagasaki but those were not filmed). Interestingly enough when I woke up both towers had already been hit but I remember the one thing I kept thinking was how a.) the perpetrators had no idea what was coming to them (in retrospect maybe they did...) and b.) it was only a matter of time before politicians would hijack the memory of the tragic event for their own purposes.

I honestly do wonder if we'll still remember ten years from now. I can already tell it has been fading from memory for most people.

It'll never will my fellow NYCer. I remember when I was a little kid, and when Id walk down Flatbush Avenue in my Brooklyn neighborhood, I could see the towers, even though they were many miles away, and that includes the East River, and they still loomed like they were nearby. That day, NYC lost a bit of its soul and character.

That second video is just terrible.

I know we want to keep the politics out of this, but I can proudly say that I back up everything our government did.

a couple of years ago I went on photography field trip to ground zero. The amount of emotion and heart still present there is so thick the hair on your arms stands on edge as you approach the big pit where the WTC used to be. I've attached a few pics I took.

The No is on the scaffolding surrounding the build site...it reads "POST NO BILLS". New Yorkers have taken to writing memorials for their friends. I can spend hours reading the walls alone. Anyhow, just thought I'd share these pics with you guys.
