Thanks guys, we let one of our coworkers go recently, so we're all had to pull extra shifts and such, so that's been fun here. Working over time, lack of sleep, and being sick all at the same time has NOT been enjoyable at all. But, we'll manage and get back on track. Going to try to get in a good solid deadlift session tonight, will be the first in a while.

Since decreasing the frequency of squats in my routine, it's been a ton better. It was rough for me going from full intensity squats to full intensity deadlifts right after, but we got it all sorted out and all is back to good.

Finally...a good solid deadlift workout. I've been fretting deadlifts since I started doing them at the work gym with the shorter bar and hex plates. I got back home tonight and had a great pulling session. Everything felt wonderfully awesome again.

135 x 10 I knew from here this workout was gonna be a game changer in my mental make up. The past few weeks I've been lazy and working out at the work gym instead of getting in the garage and busting my ass like I should be. I'm not gonna pull 600 in December unless I'm grinding my teeth and kicking ass all the way up to the meet.
    225 x 5 Touch and go, quick.
    315 x 3 Felt nice.
    405 x 2

    Work Sets
455 x 2 x 6 sets I was barely sweating by the 6th set and felt like I could have done 12 sets of doubles here.

    Rack Pulls-From just above kneecap.
315 x 1 Too easy, damn near lost balance pull up and locking out.
    455 x 1
    525 x 1
    555 x 1
    595 x 1
625 x 1 20lb PR. This felt pretty damn quick and easy.
Lowered the rack to under my knees, just above shins.
631 x .9999 Never actually locked it out, but was decently close I think. My back was fried at this point, should have stopped at 625 and been happy, but I was feeling high off finally getting a solid session in from the floor.

    Box Squats
245 x 6 x 2 sets Easy, paused on the box for a good while, 3-4 seconds, then exploded off.

    Single Leg Deadlifts
    80lb kettlebell x 3 x 3 sets each leg

I decided to get in some of my upper accessory work tonight since I was sick over the weekend and didn't get a bench session in. I cut everything in half either by reps, weight, or both just so I don't overdue anything for Thursdays session.

    Lateral Raises
    35's x 5 x 2 sets

    Reverse Flys
    20's x 6 x 3 sets

    Pinwheel curls
    35's x 5 x 3 sets

Triceps Band Pulldowns w/ Monster minis doubled
55 reps x 2 sets My triceps feel like burning!!!!!! (simpson's reference, sorry)

    Awesome work!!!!!

Great PR bro, you miss the heavier lifts because on every set you are not locking the weight out correctly.

You look strong enough with those weights no question but you need to extend the hips, straighten the legs and I would also be more agressive with throwing the head back once the first two are sorted.

You will be rack pulling 700+ next year Im willing to bet on it (yes we love a bet downunder and bet on everything lol).

Those weights were easy for you.

Hard to see in the vid but perhaps move your hands out 3/4" per side and you may find it easier to lock-out.

Yeah remember in August when my lockout looked sloppy? I'm back to that and just not focusing on it. When it actually comes down to it, I can have an explosive lock out when I remember to, haha. Lockout at the meet was strong and quick, I guess tonight I was just focusing on moving the weight since I've been having such a crappy time in the gym.

I've played with the idea of moving my hands out just a bit to see how it does. I feel REALLY comfortable were my feet are at right now pulling conventional, thought of moving my hands out on 631, but didn't put it in to action tonight. Will work with it and work on really getting the lock out in there. Thanks for all the help Nick, greatly appreciated.

Thats a solid session Mark. You figure roughly 455 is 80% of your max if you can do 6x2 w it. You prolly could rip 545-50ish off the floor in a meet atmosphere.

There wasn't a problem at all pulling 550 in august, it was very quick and easy, no problems at all. I'm hoping to nail 600 in December, seeing how easy 550 was then, but I have slacked off a bit training wise lately, being sick and working too much. My training hasn't been on par lately, but it's back in gear. I'm really excited about next year, I ended up bidding for and getting sat, sun, mondays off working 3rd watch, noon-10pm. I think it'll change a lot of things training in the morning, and will hopefully get in another workout either at lunch or after work, speeding up the weight loss.

How lucky dude, you got several places to go lift at; there's the renowned Metroflex, the work gym, rec center, and garage at home.

Yeah, it's tough sometimes though, no excuses for failure, I think there are times when I'm harder on myself because of that. However, it certainly makes it easier because if I can't get away from work, I'm good with a quick workout, stuck inside, I'm good to go too.
