    you should get that old timer into some gear so jimmy can have some records to chase in the future. as for heat in the gym we have been filling the tank with 5gallons of diesel every few days.

    That was it. I was shocked to get up that high. I looked back in my log, the last time I put multi-ply gear on to squat was July 18th at the SSA Nationals(7 months ago). The only time since then that I wore gear to squat was one day in September when I put an old hardcore on and tried to see if I liked it, lol. My knee felt suprisingly good after this. The weirdest thing about it for me was that the weights all felt heavier than normal on my back. When I train in gear all the time I can unrack anything and not even feel it. I felt everyone of these unracks, lol.

    It was awesome to see the guys again and man just squatting in those briefs really made me miss it. I hope to be able to train with them 3-4 times per month for now and then hopefully hit it harder in the summer when school ends. I would love to compete in the summer time.

    I spent the weekend with my family at the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City. Diet and sleep were crap. On the way home on Monday I dropped my sister off at home and she lives right by my gym so I went in. Had little energy and felt weak. So after a few sets of trying to actually lift some weight, I decided just to take it easy and do a bunch of light sets. Tonight I will do some pulling...how heavy it will be will depend on how I feel at the gym.

    Felt a bit better today after taking 2 days off and getting plenty of sleep. Benching in this gym absolutely sucks because of the benches, but I will make due. At least I can go heavier on things like declines or pin presses when I want. So when I bench here it will just have to be flat-backed for volume like I did today and then I will strengthen my triceps, pecs and shoulders with all the other movements(DB presses, extensions and whatnot).

    Even though I am feeling weak and small for the last few months, whatever I do apparently gets noticed. A few of the trainers today asked me if I played football, lol. I told them I compete in powerlifting and they asked me if I was interested in joining their flag football team that starts up in the Spring. I thought that was cool of them and I might take them up on that offer.


    Tomorrow I should be going to squat with Bernor, CT, Chase and Dominguez(and whoever else comes around). Should be fun, I wanna do some bands!!!

    That was it. I was very happy with this. This is the first time I have pulled heavy sumos in a while with no knee pain. I can't wait to try and pull them from the floor with either some briefs or a suit on...and with the DL bar and baby powder! I am really getting the itch to get back into the gangsta stuff I used to do with bands and chains and just going heavy and pushing the limits of my tiny-lil frame! If I can return to sumo for my next comp I want to be pulling in the neighborhood of 600. I think it is definitely feasible.

    Tonight I will be out for some drinks for my buddy's 30th birthday! Good times!

    I felt like crap today because I only slept 2 hrs last night. But I just tookm some caffeine and just put it all in to my two main worksets and they both ended up being easy(up 15 lbs from last week). So I should definitely be able to go up again at least next week for another round of 8's.

    After I messed around on the treadmill for a few minute rounds of walking forward and backward on a treadmill that was turned off. I read that in an article by Jim Smith on EFS and it actually felt pretty cool. Forward is kinda easy, feels similar to doing a prowler real light and then backwars is harder and feels like your dragging the sled.

    Then I did the same thing on the treadmill as yesterday. I kept it off, I would go 80 paces forward and then turn around and go 80 paces backwards. I rested 30 seconds and repeated. By then I was shot, lol. Tomorrow I rest and then heavy bench on Friday.
