Thanks, bro. You were a large motivator, showed me what you can do when you really want something.

Only been using hook grip for about 6 months now, but I really enjoy it. Took a long time to get use to, but it no longer hurts.

One day, my good sir. I've been able to do 405 for 3 of the 5 years, but was never able to take it to the next level until recently!

Left arm felt good until 235, did a set of 225 after 235 and it felt blah so I called it on benching. Matched my DB seated OH Press PR today after not doing it in x amount of months, so that was nice.

First 2 sets of 8 on pull ups were strong, the last set was really humbling. Had to take a second or two between the last 4 reps. I'm not OK with a sub par upper body, but at least my lower half makes up for it.

That's a solid close grip man. Do you use a power close grip? As in hands just outside the smooth?

Thumbs from smooth, if I didn't have this left arm problem I would be very close to 315 by now

I have a sharp pain when I bench in my left Arm. It doesn't hurt day to day, I can raise my arms, do jumping jacks, etc, but when I press the weight from my chest I can feel it in my left arm.

I've been doing a lot of mobility, strengthening, and myofascial release on my front and rear delts, RC (teres minor and major), lat, tri, bi, and forearm.

I don't know what cause it initially, but at one point I couldn't bench the bar without pain. It’s come a long way, but it’s still nowhere near healed. Been dealing with this for over a year.

Didnt actually know that was an abbreviation, just figured people would get it from the context, now i feel less cool.

Deadlifting less has actually helped me a lot. I didn't understand how taxing it was until I tried to pull heavy week after week/every other week. Now it's about once ever 3-4 weeks, then a true test at the end of 9-12 weeks after a deload, plus a lot of hamstring work.

Oh and sumo, pulling sumo had helped too. I squat wide stance and to a box almost 95% of the time, so I'm basically training the same muscles that I use to pull.

Good day, 355 was below parallel and with bands was probably 415+ at the top, definitely a grinder, but a good solid rep. Last week was 355 with monster mini's on a parallel box, so an improvement in tension and depth. Wanted to do some heavy GMs in the 2-3 rep range after squats, but the squat and power rack were being used so I settled for lying leg curl.

    Deadlift variation next week.
